Job Summary:
Support painting related work orders for our company facilities at the Grand Canyon.
The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $16.
80+ per hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:
Handle all work orders regarding painting, interior and exterior, in a timely, thorough and cost effective manner.
Maintain high levels of quality control throughout painting projects.
Maintain a clean work site and do cleanup of site to housekeeping standards.
Prioritize work orders for painting, based on guestroom occupancy, weather, and National Park Service requirements.
Ensure that painting projects adhere to all Company and National Park Service environmental policies in the application, mixing, disposal, storage and transport of paint and associated paint products.
Provide training and development to lower Painter grades.
Adhere to all safety, risk management and sustainability policies concerning tasks.
Wear required personal protective equipment in performance of tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum three-years experience as a commercial painter.
Comprehensive knowledge and skills to work and maintain all painting equipment.
Ability to mix and blend paints.
Ability to prepare painting tasks above and beyond minimum standards.
Ability to prepare all types of surfaces for painting to ensure maximum degree of durability.
Ability to perform interior and exterior spray painting and properly maintain equipment.
Working knowledge of National Fire Code requirements pertaining to storage and use of paint products.
Ability to give an accurate estimate of time and material needed for a given project.
Ability to apply tape and texture drywall.
Ability to apply spray-on acoustic ceiling.
Ability to operate and use sandblasting equipment to prepare surfaces.
Possess or obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License within 90 days of start date and comply with the company Driver Safety Program.
Possess physical ability to perform assigned tasks including ascending/descending ladders, lifting and repetitive motions.
