About the job!
This is a full-time year round position located in Williams Arizona! This position come with opportunity with room to expand and grow your career.
As a Carpenter II (intermediate) you would work with the Maintenance team to complete work orders, projects, and other carpentry projects at Grand Canyon Railway.

Responsibilities:
Duties
Maintain a Safe and Efficient Carpenter Shop.
Ensure shop is swept, equipment secure and material properly secured stored.
Handle assigned work orders regarding carpentry, interior and exterior, in a timely, thorough and cost effective manner.
Maintain high levels of quality control throughout carpentry projects.
Order supplies for projects, ensuring that material(s) are matched, and/or approved materials, especially regarding the historic structures.
Maintain a clean work site and cleanup of site to housekeeping standards.
Prioritize work orders for carpentry, based on guestroom occupancy, weather, and Railway Service requirements.
Adhere to all safety, risk management and environmental policies concerning tasks.
Adhere to Lock Out /Tag Procedures
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification:
A valid Arizona Driver’s License, and be able to comply with the Xanterra/GCR Company Vehicle Policy.
Minimum three-year’s experience as a commercial grade carpenter.
Someone that can operate power tools and equipment safely and in compliance with manufacturers specifications
This person needs to have the ability to communication verbally & written to provide clear instructions/directions
Problem solving and troubleshooting issues is also a great skill to possess.
The positions requires safe working habits to avoid injury.
The job duties including walking, standing, balancing, climbing, twisting, eye/hand coordination, manual dexterity, bending, and ladders.
Trunk strength, static strength will be needed for the physical requirements to push, pull, and/or carry items up to 100lbs occasionally.
