Our Plumbers complete assigned work orders and maintain plumbing equipment on Xanterra South Rim property.

Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $20.
95 per hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities:
* Complete all plumbing work orders in a timely, thorough and cost effective manner.
* Adhere to all applicable building codes in the repair, installation or construction of plumbing.
* Prioritize work orders keeping in mind room occupancy, weather and National Park Service requirements.
* Provide information on time frame to complete work orders, and assist in cost estimating the job.
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
* Adhere to all safety, risk management and environmental policies regarding plumbing projects.
* Communicate with affected departments/areas as to water shut off/turn on, and other factors that may interrupt guest or employee services.
* Wear all required personal protective equipment while performing tasks.
* Work in conjunction with National Park Service Maintenance on designated projects.
* Assist with the training and development of lower Plumber grades.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Minimum four-years experience as a commercial grade Plumber.
* Ability to install water, drainage and sewer piping system.
* Ability to plumb commercial and residential equipment.
* Ability to repair and replace water circulating pumps.
* Ability to identify, measure, thread and join the various pipes used in plumbing.
* Ability to sweat copper and have familiarity with oxygen and acetylene torch.
* Ability to install and repair all plumbing fixtures, toilets, sinks and faucet seats, washers and stems.
* Ability to work on steam lines and traps.
* Ability to read plumbing, mechanical and building blueprints.
* Familiarity with LP (propane) and natural gas.
* Ability to use all power and hand snakes on sewage lines.
* Ability to read and comprehend all appropriate plumbing codes.
* Ability to give an accurate estimate of time and material needed for a given project.
* Ability to install, service and maintain evaporative coolers.
* Possess or obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License within 90 days of start date and comply with the Xanterra South Rim Company Vehicle Policy.
* Possess physical ability to perform the tasks including entering confined spaces, ascending/descending ladders and possibly trenches, and lifting up to fifty pounds.
