, an engineering & construction management company is currently looking to hire a full-time *Engineer Level II/Construction Management Representative (CMR)* to provide CM services on National Park Service projects *within the Grand Canyon National Park*.
Projects will include water line replacements, construct new wastewater treatment plant, expand Helibase and construction of a helicopter hanger/operations building.
The CMRs must be capable of working in remote locations (e.
g.
, Grand Canyon Inner-Canyon) for extended periods of time; performing or adapting to requirement to hike within Grand Canyon’s Inner Canyon to the various work locations (distance up to 10 miles/day with 4-mile elevation change); and capable of flying in helicopter transport.
*Place of Performance:* South Rim, inner-canyon and North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona *Salary:* $40.

00 Hour, DOE *Benefits:* * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance * Schedule: 8-hour day shift Monday to Friday *Engineer Level II/Construction Management Representative (CMR) responsibilities include:* * Provide on-site administration of the construction contract.
* Review and prepare responses to construction submittals and RFIs.
* Prepare, review, and analyze construction modification documents and provide constructability analysis.
* Inspect the work of the construction contractor, perform on-site inspections of the construction work, materials, means and methods to ensure compliance with the contract documents.
*The successful Engineer Level II/Construction Management Representative candidate will need to meet the following qualifications/requirements:* (1) Knowledge and experience with construction practices, especially related to construction practices including applicable building codes, estimating, design, and technical writing.
(2) Ability to manage complex projects, supervision and labor, and coordinate to meet the needs of the project.
(3) Prior experience working with Government Project Managers / CORs on processing change requests, requests for information, submittals and field observation reports.
(4) Prior experience with security protection measures required by Government agencies.
(5) Knowledge of computer programs such as Primavera Project Planner (P3) Schedules, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and the Internet for the transmission of digitally processed photos and administrative communications.
(6) Ability to work in a highly visible location incorporating site safety and safety of the public and minimize construction related adverse impacts to natural and cultural resources.
(7) People and communication skills - Ability to represent the interests of the Government in a professional manner and ensure quality of work while maintaining good relationships with contractor, as well as, park staff.
(8) Ability to meet physical requirement of the position, hike up to 10 miles/day with up to 4 miles in elevation difference.
(9) Ability to work in remote locations with limited logistics and communications.
(10) Knowledge and experience with aviation operations for construction activities.
(11) Knowledge and experience with NPS Environmental and Cultural Resources and compliance related to construction activities (12) Minimum 4+ year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or other related field from an ABET accredited engineering college or university with a minimum of 8 or more years of relevant construction / engineering work experience; Registered Professional Engineer in one of the 50 states or U.
S.
Territories, preferably the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia – OR – has a Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or other related field from an ABET accredited engineering college or university with a minimum of 6 or more years of relevant construction / engineering work experience – OR – has a Doctorate degree in Engineering, Construction, or other related field from an ABET accredited engineering college or university with a minimum of 4 or more years of relevant construction / engineering work experience.
