Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Crew Leader to join our team.
As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for supervising a team of landscapers and ensuring quality landscape installations, following safety guidelines and approved best-method work practices.
This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Field Operations
* Reviews construction plans with Foreman throughout the project life to ensure completion according to contract.
* Directly supervise and control the activities of Crewmembers to ensure that work is performed in accordance with the company safety guidelines and approved best-method work practices.
* Implement the daily project work schedules by directing crews to minimize overtime.
* Ensure that all company facilities, equipment, tools and other assets are maintained and protected from damage and/or loss.
* Ensure that jobsite and work areas are clean and secure at the completion of work every day.
* Ensure jobsite safety by installing and maintaining safety barricades or/or other control devices as necessary.
* Ensure that field employees comply with company safety requirements by wearing proper PPE, and that equipment is maintained up to field standards.
Supervisory Responsibility
* Direct supervision of several Crewmembers in daily landscape operations covering all aspects of project installations.
* Coach Crewmembers daily as to proper practices and procedures.
Experience Requirements
• Two (2) years in related field.
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to communicate effectively with Foreman and other Crewmembers.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
* Knowledge of landscaping construction methods and equipment and the ability to train and supervise other personnel.
* Willingness to work within a team environment and understand the needs of others for the common good of the company.
* Basic knowledge of controllers, vacuum breakers and other common irrigation components.
* Knowledge of landscape construction techniques for walls, walks, patios, pavers, plantings, grading & drainage, etc.

* Willingness and ability to work 50-60 hours per week during peak season.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding and labor intensive position.
You will be required to be on your feet, walking, standing, crouching/stooping, pushing and carrying up to 50# all day.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.
84 - $25.
09 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 42 per week
