*JOB SUMMARY: *
This employee will perform routine preventative maintenance per a set schedule as well as respond to unscheduled repairs in a safe and timely manner.
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Support, installation, rebuilding, and maintenance of all production equipment such as baking ovens, conveyor systems, and a variety of packaging and support equipment
* Perform routine preventative maintenance per a set schedule as well as respond to unscheduled repairs in a safe and timely manner
* Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs
* Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
* Perform other duties as directed by supervisor
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
* Must be highly motivated, able to follow direction, and perform assigned work duties independently with minimal supervision
* Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
* Must be able to speak, listen, and openly communicate with team members
* Able to read, understand, and strictly follow written procedures for multiple controlled processes
* Good understanding of and strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Policies (GMP)
* Must be organized and maintain work area
* Able to identify areas that need attention and either address or report as necessary
* Must be able to accurately take instructions and keep records
* This position involves regular bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting
* Required to stand on their feet and/ or walk up to 12 hours per day
* Must be able to regularly; lift up to 100#, have full use of arms and legs and climb stairs to access all areas of the plant and offices
* Must be able to detect audible tones and alarms
* Must maintain a high degree of forklift operation skills
* Must have sufficient hand tools required to perform duties of the Production Maintenance Technician (company provides all specialized and consumable tools/equipment)
* Must be able to work all shifts in a seven day a week rotation
* Adherence to the company attendance policy is required, including expectations of punctuality and limited unapproved absences
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Minimum of three years' experience in a related field or comparable education
* Must demonstrate a good Electro-Mechanical aptitude and have a work history showing multitasking ability
* Must be able to demonstrate ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
* Welding experience a plus
* PLC experience a plus
* Must have demonstrated good work habits and attendance
