Job Description: Technician I, Controls Engineer Job Description: In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Controls Engineering Team in a variety of tasks related to the design, programming, building/wiring, documenting, and testing of custom automation machinery.
You will be exposed to a variety of technologies and manufacturing processes that allow for creative problem-solving and collaboration across all company departments.
We are in search of an individual who is a hands-on, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities: Support the Controls Engineering Department with the following: Update and/or modify electrical designs that include power & I/O distribution systems.
Update and/or create documentation of Electrical & Pneumatic Schematics.
Update and/or create safety risk assessments of potential machine hazards.
Take direction from lead controls engineers to execute specific tasks with some oversight.
Execute testing and validation steps of control systems and/or elements with guidance from lead controls engineers.
Help ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Provide technical support and expertise during the build, wire, plumbing, and program debugging phases of custom automation projects.
Contribute to Design Reviews with Internal Customers.
Help maintain Schedule Milestones.
Update and Revise Drawings as Required.
Contribute to Continuous Improvement Efforts Across Entire Organization.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
).
Must be Responsible, Self-Driven, Self-Motivated, and Able to Work Independently.
Physical Demands: Much of the day will consist of sitting, and a considerable amount of time will be spent standing, walking, using hands to handle, or feel, reaching with arms and hands, talking and hearing.
A lot of time will be spent lifting weights up to 10 lbs.
, some time will be spent lifting weights up to 25 lbs.
and minimal time will be spent lifting weights up to 50 lbs.
