Position Overview: The Controls Engineer will provide technical expertise in machine automation and electrical systems.
Driving continuous improvement in electrical systems and process controls to enhance mills operating efficiency.
Essential *Duties and Responsibilities :* · Complies with all safety policies and procedures.
Stays current with national code standard and other regulatory requirements.
· Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment to help meet production goals.
· Troubleshoot and maintain three (3) phase electrical systems, plus PLC system daily.
· Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment to help meet production goals.
· Troubleshoot and maintain three (3) phase electrical systems, plus PLC system daily.
· Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
· Assemble and test experimental motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids and other electrical equipment and components.
· Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
· Works closely with production departments and attends regularly schedule meetings scheduled with production management.
· Upgrade and tune control systems to improve equipment performance.
Assist in developing data acquisition and reporting.
· Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
· Assemble and test experimental motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids and other electrical equipment and components.

*Qualifications : * · 3-5 years of Industrial Electrician or Maintenance Technician experience with a strong background in PLCs · PLC and HMI programming experience · Proven track record of electrical equipment troubleshooting repair and installation · Experience in developing mill standards and implementing best practices in electrical department a plus · Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment to help meet production goals.
· Troubleshoot and maintain three (3) phase electrical systems, plus PLC system daily.
· Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
