Full Job Description
CDL Truck Driver
We are looking for a truck driver to work with our company to help us keep up with an increased demand in a safe and timely manner.
Our work consists of pumping out and cleaning septic tanks, wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, grease traps, and various other non-hazardous waste streams.
Must be in on call rotation for after hours / emergency jobs (approximately one week per month).
Responsibilities
* Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
* Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
* Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
* Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
* Report defects, accidents or violations
* Perform work safely and efficiently
Skills
* Experience as a truck driver
* Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS IPhones)
* Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
* Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
* No recent moving or driving violations
* Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
* Valid commercial driving license (CDL) with tanker and air brake endorsements
