*Civil Project Engineer*
Kinney Construction, LLC (KC) is seeking a Civil Project Engineer for our corporate headquarters in Flagstaff, AZ.
The responsibility of this role is to plan, organize, and manage construction efforts within the Civil division resulting in the successful execution of fieldwork, job schedules, budget compliance, and customer satisfaction for our horizontal construction projects.
Project Types: Sitework, Grading, Excavation, Storm Water, Underground Utilities (Wet & Dry), Roadwork, Treatment Plants, Asphalt Paving and Concrete.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Lead, assist, and support procuring, planning, and executing profitable work.
* Develop a complete and thorough understanding of all Contract Documents.
* Document processing and control, including Submittal processing, draft, and processing of RFI’s, drafting Purchase and Subcontract.
* Agreements, monitoring, and tracking submission and response to ensure timely completion.
* Process Subcontractor Pay Applications.
* Maintain Project Schedule and update tasks with information from the field team.
* Manage material procurement and verification process.
* Track and report equipment use on a project.
* Review and code invoices.
* Ensure all work is built according to plans and specifications.
* Assist Estimating as required, including pricing original bids & estimates, generation of GMP’s, and pricing Change Orders.
*SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Four-year degree in a related field.
4+ years of recent and similar construction engineering experience.
* Strong organization, problem-solving, and time management skills.
* Superior communication skills.
* Proactive and Self Motivated; makes and keeps commitments.
