Ready to let this one go and move on to new and different water sports and so we are entertaining all legitimate and reasonable offers.
We would also consider a trade for a Panga type rig.
This is a true classic, Pacific Northwest all purpose cruiser.
Tollycraft boats are renowned for their rugged construction and seaworthiness and this boat has been extremely well maintained.
A very popular Tollycraft model, Le Grand Chien is a 26' Sedan and has plenty of cabin space for cruising, and outdoor space for sunny days.
6' + head room for you tall guys.
Large windows allow tons of light into the cabin and also for great visibility while driving from the lower station.
The 10' Beam gives it the feel of a much bigger boat, that and the solid construction mean that she handles well in those Lake Powell blows.
After 15 years on the Lake we're pursuing other hobbies and are offering the old girl to a worthy new owner.
Below you will find specifications and some of the accessories included as well as many things we've done to maintain the boat.
She is on the hard at Marine Maintenance in Flagstaff and is waiting to be enjoyed.
Read on.
Centerline length (Bow to Transom): 26' 8" Beam: 10' Draft: 34" Engine: 350ci - 260hp MerCruiser with TR outdrive (this thing is a beast and is very reliable) Fuel Capacity : 100 gal.
(2-50's) Water Capacity: 33 gal.
9 gallon black water tank (pump out) Weight (approximate): 9,000 lbs.
Sleeping Accommodations: 4 Upgraded from cable to hydraulic steering with steering assist which is like butter and makes for easy docking/handling.
4 - House Batteries 1 - Starting Battery on separate switch for taking it offline when camping.
3 - 13# Danforth type anchors with rode for each.
3 - smaller spare anchors Humminbird fish/depth finder 14,000 lb.
capacity trailer with hydraulic disc brakes (not the triple axle in the picture by the windmill) and removable tongue jack The V-birth is roomy and has a new memory foam pad for comfort on extended trips.
Hammocks for gear/clothes and a reading light.
In there you also have the Sony Cassette with FM and a 10 disc CD changer.
Speakers are in the cabin as well as the cockpit and on the Fly Bridge.
Comfortable settee on the port side with storage under the seats and sole.
Starboard, across from the settee is the lower driving station with Submersible (hopefully never needed!) VHF Radio that has a separate handheld for use while moving around the boat and driving from the Fly Bridge.
Behind the captain's seat is the full kitchen with 3 burner stove and functional oven.
Rare on a cruiser and is perfect for baking cookies or casseroles on those chilly evenings.
Sink with pressurized water and a 110/12V fridge that we have never used.
Continuing back is the "bar" area with substantial storage underneath.
Across from the bar is the stand up head with pump out capable toilet system (not a porta-potty) and sink.
Here you will also find the Hart charger/inverter panel and power unit.
On the Fly Bridge there are 4 fold-able captain's chairs with a full Bimini cover as well as a storage cover.
Storage under the eyebrow is roomy and the instrumentation for the upper steering station is protected by an aftermarket cover.
The very large Cockpit is also covered by a full Bimini and comes with full enclosure isinglass (clear plastic) covers for cool weather as well as screens for shade in the summer.
There is mister system for setting up for the cockpit also.
Shade screens for the cabin side windows come with.
There is an excellent shower system back here that is heated from the engine and so it gets hot! She has a very dry and clean bilge.
Scuppers on the cockpit work extremely well and the hull's integrity keep this area dry and a pleasure to work in if you have to.
Plenty of room for some more storage, although we like to keep it fairly accessible in case you do need to get into the middle of something while underway.
The lake water cooling system allows for the closure of the seacock intake after use, thus isolating the dang ol' mussels from your engine.
We have yet to have mussel issues while using this system and the boat was slipped for years after the mussels arrived at Lake Powell.
Some goodies: New 50' shore power cord 4 Fire extinguishers 2 110V space heaters Vacuum cleaner Spare/backup navigation lights Inflatable kayak with paddle Multiple Life Jackets Tried and true tool kit with many spare parts for the boat Large triangular fiberglass dock box.
($400.
