Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from a medical assistant training program, or other healthcare-related program including medical school, P.
A.
, N.
P.
CRNA, RN education programs; OR,
Six (6) months of experience in a hospital or medical group setting
Successful completion of HOPCo’s Competency Exam within the first 30 days of hire.
Must be able to type 60+ WPM
Essential Functions
Accurate, timely charting of patient encounters, including but not limited to patient history, physical exams, diagnostic findings, lab and test results, consultations with other providers, treatment courses, diagnoses, discharge instructions, and prescriptions.
Professional, non-intrusive interaction with patients (the Scribe does not directly assist with patient care), physicians, and other co-workers.
Compliance with HOPCo policies, including those relating to the confidentiality of patient information.
Assist with all aspects of patient coordination of care as deemed necessary.
Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to training other Scribes and staff.
