The Guest Services Agent is responsible for providing the highest possible level of service to guests in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.
Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
* Creating memorable guest experiences
· Checking guests in and out of the hotel in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner
· Listening and responding to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice
· Managing and resolving all guest complaints and compliments in a professional and courteous manner
· Answering the telephone in a professional manner and assisting guests with any questions, directions, etc.
· Ensuring that special requests are noted and fulfilled
· Communicating with all departments regarding in-house VIPs and any special requests/needs
· Promoting and selling special hotel programs, special rate packages and upgrades, when appropriate
· Maintaining an up to date working knowledge of all property amenities as well as any special events
· Interacting with hotel associates in a professional manner; assisting other departments with necessary information
* Other duties as assigned
· Present a crisp and polished appearance
· Deliver a positive and upbeat energy that can deliver total guest satisfaction
· Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Be able to multi-task, talk, and listen simultaneously while guests are present
· Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests using a positive, clear speaking voice
· Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information
· Strive to build and maintain good and productive relationships with all team members
· Possess a thorough understanding of local area, including attractions and directions
· Be honest, reliable, and timely
· Maintain excellent timekeeping and attendance
· Demonstrate strong computer skills and a pleasant telephone demeanor.
· Must have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends and holidays
· High School diploma or equivalent.
Two years of customer service experience required; previous Guest Service Agent experience is ideal.
However, training may be provided for outstanding candidates who lack previous professional experience.
· To fully perform their duties, Guest Services Agents will be required to stand, carry, walk, reach, and bend.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time during work hours.
Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 10 pounds on a regular basis.
